NETETOU

TRAVEL ORGANISATION

WHY DO WE ORGANIZE TRIPS TO SENEGAL?

After years of opening the doors of Nguel du Saloum to travelers from all over the world, we want to take a step further in our commitment to ecotourism and help you discover Senegal in a conscious and respectful way through the “Netetou” Travel Organization Network.

The name Netetou is not just a tribute to African cuisine; it also reflects our approach to tourism. Netetou is an essential seasoning in Senegalese cuisine: small but powerful, made from Néré seeds and prepared by women, it adds flavor and a touch of love to every dish. When we talk about Netetou, we talk about a project that aims to be like this seasoning: a small gesture that creates a big impact.

Our Goals

1. Promote sustainable tourism with a positive impact
Organize trips that respect the environment and local cultures, contributing to social and economic change.

2. Offer an authentic vision of Africa and foster cultural exchange
Showcase Africa’s cultural diversity to break down stereotypes and encourage a deeper understanding of the continent. Create a bridge between the North and the South to facilitate intercultural learning and mutual respect. Design immersive experiences that allow travelers to connect with local communities, their way of life, and the values they uphold, such as spirituality, a deep connection with nature, respect for elders, and a holistic view of the world. These values will not only enrich travelers but also provide new perspectives for rethinking our way of life in Europe.

3. Create economic opportunities in Senegal
Generate employment and contribute to community development. This is not about coming here to help through charity, but rather about creating dignified jobs that allow communities to thrive independently.

4. Reduce environmental impact
Implement sustainable practices to minimize the ecological footprint and ensure that tourism becomes a tool for protecting the environment rather than destroying it.
We believe in a new relationship between the North and the South, based on collaboration and mutual respect. We want to contribute to a fairer world and recognize the beauty and richness of Africa, with all its imperfections.
